Calling all Krew members! Krewella is coming to blow the roof off Opera Nightclub, and you don’t want to miss it.
Krewella, an EDM duo made up of Pakistani American sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf, hail from Northbrook, Illinois. Despite being relatively new to the scene, they quickly took off in 2011 after their first releases. Since reaching Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic charts with their EP “Play Hard,” and with their single “Alive” becoming a smash online hit with over 15 million views on YouTube, the sisters have become a must-see act. Krewella released “Get Wet,” their first full album, in 2013, and after landing a spot on the Top 10 Billboards Hot 200, there was no slowing down. Having played stages at Electric Zoo, Lollapalooza, EDC Brazil and Ultra Music Festival, these girls have solidified their standing within the dance music scene.
No single genre can sum up Krewella’s sound. Take the speed and hard kick drum of hardstyle, the crushing bass and wobble of dubstep, the dance elements of house, and their vocals, and you’ve got Krewella.
