Desert Dwellers

Desert Dwellers consists of Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, who began their careers as independent music producers and DJs in the deserts of New Mexico and California. Coming together in the late '90s after connecting through the legendary Moontribe scene, today the duo enjoys a reputation as one of the most pioneering and prolific downtempo, psy-bass, and tribal trance acts in the United States. Desert Dwellers have toured extensively across six continents, spent a 7-week stretch on the road with renowned psychedelic artist Shpongle, and have performed at dozens of festivals, most notably Shambhala, Lightning in a Bottle, Envision, Coachella, Rainbow Serpent, and Boom. Taking a new approach to digital production, Amani and Treavor have combined the raw sounds of the natural world while skillfully blended deep bass, earthy percussion, etheric voices and cross-cultural instrumentation into sonic incense for the mind and body. Bringing the electronic music vibe to the yoga scene, and the sounds of yoga to the electronic dance scene, Desert Dwellers’ global sounds are the bridge between the worlds of dance and movement.

Random Rab

Rab was born. He began to experiment with sound. The back of his head fell on the ground. Sound was released from the THUMP. It was deafening and created around him the first note of Random Rab's music.

The Sixis project fuses distinct sonic spaces with danceable bass music aesthetics to create a thought provoking and emotive experience. Synthetic and organic elements blur through field recording and electronic synthesis, generating a familiar yet alien trip through the body and out of the imagination. This is done in order to stimulate people to think about what is really going on and what connections can be made beneath the surface, even once they have left the dancefloor. Inspired by the ever changing world around us, this is merely a reflection of what has been and will be experienced.

Liam Shea, aka Templo, strives to blend atmospheric soundscapes with head bobbing beats. Born and raised in Denver, Templo's interest in music began at the age of 11 behind a drum kit. This sparked an exploration into all types of instruments and music. On his tracks you will hear all original riffs and drum beats, incorporating a variety of instruments and styles. Templo has one foot in the future with influences including Tipper, Random Rab, and Emancipator. While at the same time paying heed to the classics, attempting to emulate the sounds of J Dilla, Eek-A-Mouse, and Gorillaz. Templo's eclectic tastes comes through in his music as he aims to blend downtempo trip-hop, funk and dub elements, with deep melodic bass. Ultimately, Templo aims to inspire creation and imagination in the music community and beyond.

A relative new comer to the music scene, Templo has seen his music evolve exponentially since its inception in 2011. Already he has shared the stage with artists such as Polish Ambassador, Random Rab, Opiou, Andrellion (Heyoka), and Vibesquad. Templo headlined his first show in 2013 at the Denver art galley Lumonics. Templo released his first album for free in 2013 and it is available for download on bandcamp.

As Templo's music continues to grow so will his visibility. Future plans include upcoming shows with Mark Farina at Denver's Cassleman's and Ott at Cervantes in 2013. Also in the works is an album set to drop sometime in early 2014 as well as an assortment of EP releases throughout the year. Templo is excited to establish himself in a community he highly values and respects.
