The Durango Blues Train is an exciting 3.5 hour moving musical experience providing two consecutive evenings of live blues on the Historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad’s coal-fired, steam-powered train through the spectacular and breathtaking canyons of the San Juan National Forest. The event features six live blues performances (2 bands and 4 solo/duo artists) in six coaches with a festive musical environment that promises an amazing experience.
Each musician aboard performs in their vintage coach car while passengers are free to dance and sample the different musical acts by traveling from one car to the next. Each evening will feature four solo, and duo acts, and two full bands, each offering an intimate concert aboard the historic train.
Light snacks and beverages are available on board for puchase including wine and beer from Telluride Brewing Company and Ska Brewing.
Passengers will also experience breathtaking views of the Highline , a world famous section of railroad crawling along cliffs high above the Animas River.
So enjoy the music, your favorite beverage, and the beautiful scenery of the famous train featured in the Hollywood production, “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
