An Evening with Jamie Carragher
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher dedicated his whole career to the Reds, making his debut in 1997 and finally bowing out over 16 years later with 737 appearances to his name. By the time he hung up his boots he had a string of trophies to his name, including two FA Cups, three League Cups, a UEFA Cup and of course the big one – the Champions League, won on that unforgettable night when Liverpool “won it five times” in Istanbul in 2005.
After retiring from playing Carra moved into broadcasting where he became part of the Sky Sports team covering the big games and, unsurprisingly, took to it like a duck to water. Carra’s no-nonsense attitude transferred perfectly from pitch to screen and, tied in with his instinctive humour, his work on the TV has brought him well deserved acclaim.
Carra is heading to Norwich to talk not only about his Anfield career but also about current events at the club and in the football world. A true Anfield Legend who mixes the humour with plenty of straight talking and at Liverpool from school age to retirement, Jamie has plenty of great stories to tell, some of which you won’t hear out there on TV or radio!
