DESCRIPTION
The New York Philharmonic has a sound like few other orchestras.
In their 2017 Barbican International Associate Residency, Alan Gilbert leads the orchestra in the glamour of Mahler and Berlioz, alongside contemporary works by John Adams and Esa-Pekka Salonen, the New York Philharmonic's Composer-in-Residence. In the final concert of the residency, the orchestra is joined by the brilliant Yo-Yo Ma.
