Grow is chuffed to welcome Peter and the Slow Fire London crew into our canal side kitchen for a month-long residency.
The concept of ‘Slow Fire London’ has been heating up for some time now. Having worked in some of London's top kitchens for the past decade, Peter's passion for food always brings him back to all things rustic. You can expect carefully selected, free range meats, slow cooked over wood and charcoal. Of course, Vegatarians are not forgotten, as vegetables are best cooked over the embers of burning wood!
We launch his residency this Thursday, where he'll be on hand to talk to anyone who wants to learn more about the smoking process, whilst serving mains meals with a free side for £7.
We'll also have Sonny Delight on the decks, laying down rare grooves, funk and soul, as you chill and munch with us canalside in Hackney Wick.
About Grow, Hackney
Carved out of what was once a sausage factory, Grow has been transformed into a unique bar, kitchen and creative space. Hidden in a yard in the heart of Hackney Wick and backing onto the canal, it was built by a small team and is operating as an experiment in ethical and sustainable business. It's a space for music, art, conversation, community and good food where everyone is welcome. www.GrowHackney.co.uk
