Vocalist and producer Dan Vidmar, a.k.a Shy Girls, first came to attention in 2013 with his slow burning, sax-tinged single “Under Attack”. He released his first EP, Timeshare, with boutique label Hit City USA in the fall of 2013, which featured seductive electronic pop jams such as “Second Heartbeat.” With Timeshare, Shy Girls quickly started garnering attention and acclaim from an array of artists, producers and tastemakers. Vidmar has since collaborated with dance music heavyweights like Cyril Hahn, ODESZA and Jagwar Ma. He’s also toured clubs across the country in support of artists such as HAIM, Little Dragon and Grammy award-winning R&B singer Maxwell. In winter of 2015, Vidmar self-released a mixtape, 4WZ, featuring his favorite collaborators in the realms of R&B and hip-hop (Tei Shi, Rome Fortune, Antwon and Junglepussy).
Vidmar returns with “I Am Only A Man”, an electrifying piece of cinematic avant-soul. The single offers a 4:10 glimpse into the next evolution of Shy Girls' material, much of which takes a detour towards the progressive. Crash cymbals, detuned pianos, guitar jams, and modulated passages mark a clear evolution from Vidmar’s previous material. Shy Girls' newest body of work is as-of-yet unnamed but is expected to be released in 2016.

A Lost Angeleno existing in the cozy throws of Portland, OR, where the possibilities are limitless and the trees are as abundant as the roses. She’s a threat in every dimension; equipped with memorable melodies, an agile flow, and puckish, often ostentatious wordplay. You won’t forget the voice as soon as you hear it. Sonically, Dodgr has the ability to adapt to anything. A chameleon through and through, she changes the timbre of her voice with the gust of the wind; all while remaining true to herself and the artform.
Dodgr dropped an EP titled Fractures with producer Neill Von Tally in late 2015 and will follow that up with projects coming out under EYRST and Fresh Selects in 2016. Keep a watchful eye on The Last Artful, Dodgr, the future has far more of this story to tell.
