Eugene - Experience a full performance of Pink Floyd's 1975 album Wish You Were Here live at the WOW hall on FRI, OCT 14th !
Wish you Were Here is the follow album up to Floyd's monumental break through release Dark Side of the Moon and contains some the band's deepest psychedleic rock ( the multi-song Shine On opus) side by side with their best known hits ( Wish You Were Here, Have A Cigar). Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour has long professed Wish You Were Here to contain his personal best guitar work, with shimmering layers and blues based riffing comfortable alongside blistering lead work - all the while showcasing a band in the peak of its creative prime.
Though many parts of the album have shown up in Pigs on the Wing's catalog over the years, this fall marks the first run of shows featuring the album performed in its entirety - and we've approached it with our own blend of cohesion to the original material along with a high energy, all-out interpretation.
We're honored to have special guests Plant Eater joining us for the show - a new to the scene, all original band blending elements of classic and psychedelic rock with modern electronica and trance in a style we're sure Pink Floyd fans will love !
