Every Thursday at [email protected], Hackney we celebrate music, art, conversation and community and this week Grow is teaming up with General Public, Ransom Note, and The Gaia Gallery to bring you The Noonday Underground.

The Noonday Underground is an early evening music and community social where DJ's play for 1 hour slots. In addition to the music, The Gaia Gallery Canal boat will be pulling up canalside to hold a workshop on Living Walls during the daytime and then an informal Q&A from around 6pm to introduce the idea of permaculture and how it provides tools for us to have more mutually beneficial relationship with nature.

The session will be recorded and released throughout the month on a weekly basis on Ransom Note. DJs this week:

// Zaria Sewell
// General Public
// Paula Et Dan
// Brendan

In the kitchen, we'll have slow cooked BBQ specialists Slow Fire London and as it's [email protected] Thursday, it's 10% off.

The evening is about enjoying good music, positive vibes, learning new things and being together.

Our address is Grow, Hackney, 98C Main Yard, Wallis Road, Hackney Wick, E9 5LN. Just two minutes walk from Hackney Wick Overground (exit station onto Wallis Road, follow all the way round) and 15 minutes walk from Stratford.

About Grow, Hackney
Carved out of what was once a sausage factory, Grow has been transformed into a unique bar, kitchen and creative space. Hidden in a yard in the heart of Hackney Wick and backing onto the canal, it was built by a small team and is operating as an experiment in ethical and sustainable business. It's a space for music, art, conversation, community and good food where everyone is welcome.

About the Gaia Gallery
The Gaia Gallery is the UK's first carbon neutral, touring sustainability boat venue. Built by canal-side communities through a series of natural building and renewable technology courses. This unique, award-winning space showcases permaculture design and celebrates the canals that act as natural corridors in the city. More at
