After Funk has been causing a ruckus on the North American music scene with their unique sound and infectiously fun shows since their inception in March of 2011. The Toronto based power-funk group consists of Yanick Allwood (keyboards & vocals), Jaime Rosenberg (drums), Justin Bontje (bass) and Phil Tessis (guitar) who are frequently joined by a horn section and other collaborators. Their self titled debut EP was released in January of 2014 and was mixed and mastered by Alan Evans of Soulive. An increasingly busy touring schedule led to opening spots for groups like Lettuce, Snarky Puppy, Dumpstaphunk, Kung Fu, The Nth Power and Walk Off The Earth. The band was also selected as Electric Forest’s Instrumental Forester and played two sets at the festival where they were featured alongside The String Cheese Incident, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Zeds Dead, Flying Lotus Stephen Marley and more.
I first booked After Funk after they came highly recommended via the agent of a renowned internationally touring funk act. They blew me away live. Their thundering, original style features distinct, contemporary flavours mixed with all the necessary tried-and-true elements of classic funk, for an overall sound that grooves hard and moves audiences. These young virtuosos have a deep pocket and tremendous chops typically only exuded by bands twice their age. They are a kind, sensible and professional group of individuals to work with. A wonderful band in all respects.

ELECTRIC ORANGE PEEL-
The future of improvisational music is here. Electric Orange Peel freely creates elaborate, completely spontaneous suites of music every set, giving the audience a unique and intimate experience based on the risk-taking of live thematic improv.
Sworn enemies of musical sameness and hell bent on getting outside the box, EOP draws on an ever-growing catalog of original tunes that is quickly establishing them as a Midwestern progressive rock juggernaut. Replete with musical chops, impeccable ears, and amusing facial expressions, Electric Orange Peel is on a mission to show a new way to jam.
800 lb. Gorilla is a college rock/jam band based in Bloomington, Indiana. With a rock and roll core, the band pulls together funk and jazz influences to create driving, catchy, danceable grooves. A five-piece band, 800lbG places rock-solid guitar, funky keyboards and sax on top of a drums-and-bass rhythm section. The band's original music blends Beatle-esque songcraft with funky, jazzy improvisation.
800 lb. Gorilla has enjoyed a warm welcome as they have developed their show on stages across Indiana and Ohio. Their fanbase is rapidly growing as the band ventures further afield. They are fortunate to have been invited to play festivals in 2015 including Hyperion, Good People Good Times, and Taste of Bloomington. The band was also invited to open for The Werks and Twiddle at The Bluebird.
The band intends to take the musical interplay higher, and continue to reach music lovers far and wide.
