On the heels of releasing the music video for Why You Always Hatin? featuring Drake and Kamaiyah, Bompton-based rapper YG is back today to announce the FDT Tour. To coincide with the tour announce, YG is also sharing the music video for FDT (Remix) featuring G-Eazy and Macklemore directed by Vital Films. The FDT Tour will include RJ, Kamaiyah, and SadBoy. Kamaiyah exploded onto the music scene this year with her critically acclaimed A Good Night In The Ghetto, which was hailed as one the 2016 best projects by The FADER and Pitchfork. RJ has been making noise on the West Coast with his Ommio Mixtape series. He has been a frequent collaborator with YG and mega producer DJ Mustard.
The FDT Tour will hit 52 different cities in North America starting in September all the way through December. There will be opportunities to register to vote at the merchandise booth with discounts available for those who register that night or are already registered to vote. A portion of merchandise sales will go to families affected by police brutality. In select cities, there will be a guest lecture to discuss the 2016 presidential election prior to the show, as well as opportunities for fans to discuss issues they see in their cities on stage. YG’s charity, 4Hundred Waze, will donate $1 from each ticket sold directly to the families who have been affected by police brutality. Earlier this summer YG released the wildly successful second album STILL BRAZY and went out on The Endless Summer tour alongside G-Eazy, Logic, and Yo Gotti. STILL BRAZY is available everywhere via Def Jam Recordings.
