Lowly is a 5 piece noise pop band from Denmark. They appeared out of nowhere in April 2014 with the release of the bewitching 'Daydreamers'. The sound, already so rich and full, was like being put under a magical spell.
In the Autumn , Lowly released their EP Sink Way Into Me and the single Fire was described as ABBA's Super Trouper remixed by Tame Impala's Kevin Parker by Ed Nash from The Line Of Best Fit.
Luxury Death is the brainchild of boyfriend, girlfriend duo Ben Thompson & Meg Williams. The project started as something else to do in the bedroom together and shortly blossomed into a fully conscious band churning out hauntingly bittersweet lofi indie rock songs influenced by knowing that one day you are going to die.
Formed in their hometown of Swindon, the three-piece craft bracing, high energy, perfectly formed indie songs, fronted and framed by vocalist Harry Roke’s unique emotional rasp and virtuoso chiming and chopping guitar work, Mitchell Dodson’s crushing bass lines and drummer Finn Wilkinson’s driving percussion.
With support from BBC Introducing in the West under their belts, and a slew of live shows and festival performances over the summer months, 2016 is set to see YVES soar.
