Plus guests Lock + Luna Bay
Thursday 3 November
Glasgow duo Atom Tree may well be the next outfit to find a sizeable audience, with their Bieber-esque electro-pop track Body, perfectly produced and no doubt destined to spawn a variety of club ready remixes.
- Crack In The Road
Dark electro-grunge-pop trio LOCK are the beautifully menacing creation of sisters Edie and Gita Langely. Independently the sisters have toured the world playing with the likes of Serj Tankian, The Libertines, Beyonce, Mark Ronson, and Jay Z but together they are an unstoppable force as LOCK. Currently finishing their debut album with Ed Harcourt at the helm for production the sisters have just released their second EP ‘Everlasting Road’ the title track, also co-wrote and produced by Harcourt. Everlasting Road received instant critical acclaim with airtime on both BBC Radio and Radio X as well as making Sunday Times Culture hottest track of the week, Spotify New Music Friday and Apple Music Best of week playlist. You can catch these ladies live at several London shows before the end of the year.
Luna Bay’s infectious melody hooks and soaring guitar riffs provide indie rock pop of anthemic proportion. Hailing from different parts of the country and meeting at college in London lead singer and guitarist Connor O’Mara (London), bassist Sammy Penniston (Buckinghamshire), guitarist Rye Milligan (Cardigan Bay) and drummer Alex Ross (Suffolk) have developed their sound to create euphoric atmospheres with a handful of dirt and driving edge.
The first single ‘Colours’ - from an upcoming untitled EP is expected later in the year - is out now.
