Where words fail … music speaks. That simple line atop Elephant Revival's Facebook page reveals volumes about the band's reason for being. Music unites us in ways that no other medium can. Brought together by a unified sense of purpose - the spirit of five souls working as one, in harmony, creating sounds they could never produce alone. This Nederland, Colorado quintet, is a joyful group that perform their own unique brand of neo-folk, containing elements of gypsy, rock, Celtic and alt-country. This will be their 4th visit to the Big Top stage while Mandolin Orange Mandolin Orange makes their Big Top debut. The duo of multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriters Emily Frantz and Andrew Marlin delivers honest music, shot through with coed harmonies, sweeping fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar and the sort of unfakeable intimacy that bonds simpatico musicians like Gillian Welch and David Rawlings according to American Songwriter.
