DESCRIPTION
Church Leeds is excited to be hosting none other than Fatboy Slim (AKA Norman Cook) on November the 19th.
As possibly one of the most established DJs on the planet, Fatboy Slim has been filling dance floors internationally for two decades, causing more storms in tea cups than the mad hatter, not to mention going down in Brighton folk law since his legendary performance at Brighton Beach, which attracted over 500,000 revellers for a show that caused more waves than the mods and rockers before him.
20 years on since the revolutionary release of ‘Better Living Through Chemistry’ and fresh from his very first Boiler Room performance, we are ecstatic to be joined by a man that’s played to more crowds than we’ve had hot dinners.
Except the unexpected from what is set to be a an outstanding performance, with support coming from Church’s very own Dave Beer, Back to Basics co-founder and purveyor of good times, who has been a close friend of Norman’s for over two decades.
Its not often you’ll have the chance to witness two DJ’s that have experienced and influenced music history in the same way as these pioneering individuals. Don your best Hawaiian shirt and join us for what is set to be our biggest show to date.
“Norman never seizes to amaze and surprise me with his performances, a true master of the invention. I recently saw him play at The Rabbit Hole at Glastonbury and he tore it apart with a totally unique mash up of house edits that were unbelievable.” –
Dave Beer
