A CLASSICAL PIANIST….
Growing up in a multi-faceted musical family left Pittsburgh native Nina Sainato with a divided love for both classical music and rock n’ roll.
Sainato has been performing in the tri-state area since the age of 6. Soon after beginning classical piano lessons, she found her ability to both perform and compose were at the prodigious level. Her resume displays a mass of recitals and summits, claiming several state and regional titles of NFMC composition competitions before the age of 10, as well as attending The Governor’s School of Excellence for the Performing Arts at 16.
WITH A HEART IN ROCK & ROLL
After spending two years at NYU as a piano performance major, she transferred to the Sound Recording program at Duquesne University to pursue her longtime love of rock n’ roll and the recording arts. During this time, Sainato connected with various Pittsburgh musicians, studios, and producers and welcomed the transition from classical pianist to pop/rock keyboardist, and re-focused her classical composition skills to songwriting.
In recent years, she has made her mark as a versatile and respected vocalist and is currently working toward becoming a Certified Master Teacher of Estill Voice Training. She performs nationally as a solo artist and continues to work as a singer, songwriter, and pianist in the Pittsburgh area.
