DESCRIPTION
As we enter the second month of his residency, ONEMAN welcomes four pioneers of the UK Garage scene...
House legend, Daft Punk collaborator, and Grammy Award winner, Todd Edwards is best known for his hypnotic collage of cut-up samples over swung beats and lively disco-flavoured baselines. Credited as one of the godfathers of garage, his four-to-the-floor beats have cemented him a firm place in UKG history.
Tru Thought’s Zed Bias also joins the party. With a consistent string of acclaimed releases, most notably his classic ‘Neighbourhood’ and more recently his album 'Boss' on Swamp 81 records, he manages to wind his way through bass, breakbeat and classic grooves with ease
Next up MJ Cole takes to the controls, famed for his era-defining 90s track 'Sincere' and hit single 'Crazy Love' he needs little way of introduction. Never one to slow down his recent releases 'Bouldaz’ and ‘Alcatraz’ on Disclosure’s Method White and Redlight’s Lobster Boy labels signal he’s been busy at work in the last 12 months.
Completing the bill is X Men heavyweight Wookie. The man behind the anthemic Sia remix ‘Little Man’, he’s always sure to bring the party.
The Menendez brothers hold down room 2 for the night.
