High Wire Brigade
High Wire Brigade are a garage rock band from Stevenage who are aiming to rise above the stellar amount of local musical talent by releasing their debut single ‘Blackout’ in the coming weeks.
Formed in late 2014 when Kaj and Jon met in a Brighton pub, they soon drafted in Alex who’d just walked out of his previous band.
Originally a three piece, Kaj’s long-time friend Mark was invited to join to add a driving rhythm guitar element to the demo tracks they’d already been working on.
With tastes encompassing many different genres, High Wire Brigade are proud to wear their garage, blues and rock influences firmly on their sleeve.
With a few months of gigging around the country under their belts, they felt it was time to get the single recorded and were lucky enough to stumble across an opportunity to spend a few days working with Richard Wilkinson (Kaiser Chiefs & Adele) at The Kinks’ KONK Studios in North London.
The result is ‘Blackout’, a raucous garage rock stomper which, at just 2 minutes long, is breathless enough to leave you wanting more.
Luckily, that wait won’t be very long with the band heading back into the studio for a week in March to work on the follow up to their single, a three track EP which is set for release in May.
Both the single and EP will be available to stream and download from iTunes, Spotify, Amazon music and many other digital outlets.
