The “Grand Masquerade” is the paradox of our everyday life, forced to hide our true selves from the social and familiar norms of society. Be it a political dissident lurking in the shadows of an oppressive regime, a daughter hiding her ambition from a patriarchal society, a son desiring to escape a career path encouraged by his family, or an adolescent terrified of the reactions of friends and family to his or her sexuality, every society creates a need to mask our true selves.
In February 2017 we will release our new EP and want to celebrate its release with you at one of our favorite venues in Berlin - Lido.
The titel track Grand Masquerade mixes classical style strings, indie-rock guitar, with hiphop and electronic groove. So often individuals find it necessary to mask who they are from the world in attempts to fit in and conform to the norms of society, or pressures of an oppressive government or household. Grand Masquerade is both beautiful and powerful. A struggle of the self-grappling with the decision to live a life of masked conformity or defiant individualism.

Grand Masquerade ist das Paradoxum unseres täglichen Lebens, dass uns dazu zwingt unsere wahre Persönlichkeit vor sozialer und gegenwärtiger Normen unserer Gesellschaft zu maskieren.
Im Februar 2017 erscheint die EP-Auskopplung Grand Masquerade und erlaubt einen kleinen Einblick in unsere musikalische Entwicklung. Einige der besonderen Highlights kommen hier mit Catalonia Calling, Grand Masquerade, Barney Rubble und Adriano von Lluch zusammen.
Der Titel Track Grand Masquerade mischt klassische Seiten, Indie Rock Gitarre mit Hip Hop und elektronischem Groove. Individuen sehen allzu oft eine Notwendigkeit darin, ihr wahres Selbst zu maskieren, um sich besser in die Gesellschaft einzugliedern und dem Zwang nach Konformität nachzugeben. Grand Masquerade ist sowohl melodisch schön als auch ausdrucksstark. Ein Ringen mit sich selbst, um die Entscheidung einem maskierten gesellschaftsgerechten Leben nachzugeben oder sein Individuum frei zu lassen.
