Há cerca de 10 anos, Norberto Lobo saiu da gruta que partilhou com Rómulo e Remo para erigir um império imaterial maior do que Roma. Roma ardeu aos pés de Nero, mas as progressões melódicas quentes de Lobo não se evaporam em fumos e cinzas — envolvem-nos e entram-nos para os pulmões, infectando-nos e afectando-nos com um talento que åinda não conheceu fronteiras. Norberto Lobo tem um novo disco e vai trazê-lo, de novo, ao Porto. Chama-se “Muxama” e como tudo com o seu cunho, até então, merece toda a nossa atenção.

When Norberto Lobo left the shadows, ten years ago, one thing was certain: his talent is like no other; the guitarist engages composition with the typical Portuguese skills, yet going deeper into southern regions and elevating melodies with African rhythms. Sounding familiar as so many guitarists from his generation, Norberto is unique to the point of always standing from the crowd surrounding him. Make no mistake: his music is the equivalent of standing on the shoulders of a giant of music, allowing us to see further and deeper into the horizon. “Muxama”, his latest opus, is another proof of his wits and we’re more than happy to host his show in Porto.
