W. Jeremy is a NYC based DJ/Producer and is co-owner of the Get Up Recordings music label with such artists on the roster as Honey Dijon, Tedd Patterson, Kim Ann Foxman, Quentin Harris, Discodromo, Brodanse and Vin Sol.
He has produced under the moniker House of Stank with label partner, Christy Love, as well as independently as W. Jeremy. He got his start as an intern at Elite Music Group where he worked along with Issy Sanchez, George Hess and
Debra Eriksen. After a few months, Debra convinced him to come and work with
her at the Vicious Muzik and Hot n' Spycy labels. While working there, he formed a friendship with Alan Anderson at Movin’ Records in East Orange, NJ. Alan presented him with the opportunity to work for the legendary Tony
Humphries and help launch Tony’s Yellorange label. A few years later, he moved to San Francisco where he became a resident dj at the world-famous Endup for the Saturday morning party, Otherwhirled. Upon moving back to NYC in the early 2000’s he acquired a residency for the next five years at the underground House club, Mr. Black. He later began to produce and in 2009 and his first two tracks were released DJ Pierre’s label, Afro Acid Digital. He also has releases on Dust Traxx Chicago, Rebel Eye and his own imprint. He has remixed for JD Samson, The 2 Bears, The Cucarachas (Tom Stephan), Larry Tee, N’dea Davenport, Vanessa D’aou, and Terrence Parker on labels such as Southern Fried Recordings, Ultra Records, Trax Chicago and Kinetika Records. He has held residencies at Marquee NYC, XL Nightclub and has played such festivals as the P.S. 1 Summer Warm-Up Series and the Life Ball in Vienna.
If you live in New York City and dwell amongst the downtown music/fashion scene, chances are you’ve heard of Michael Magnan. The DJ/Producer/Artist has been turning out parties for what seems like ages and infusing hit songs with his signature brand of musical swag. Magnan fuses art, music and fashion together on his popular blog, Wickephobica and with his involvement in the collective, House of Ladosha. He is also one-half of the dj/production duo, Fatherhood, along with Physical Therapy.
Christy Love has always had a love for music and has been immersed in the House music scene for more than 2 decades. She started off djing in San Francisco at The Top in the late 90’s. After moving to NYC, in the early 2000’s
she began a monthly residency at Debassed, a Chicago Booty House party hosted by resident Mark Salinger (from the infamous Booty Bar parties) at the Williamsburg then hot spot, Red & Black. That same year she met W. Jeremy
who she started a residency with for the next 5 years at underground House club, Mr. Black and a few years later started producing with under the moniker House of Stank. She is a much sought-after DJ in NYC, largely because she
consistently destroys dancefloors with her distinct sets comprising of a clever mixture of classic and modern house bursting with driving beats and funky bass lines. This DJ prowess, combined with her production work as House of Stank with long-time collaborator, W. Jeremy, and the success of their label, Get Up
Recordings, has transformed Christy Love into a house music triple threat.
Butched is a DJ / Production duo based in NYC consisting of members Joey Quinones & JT Almon. Both members independently began collecting music from an early age, which lead them both to the dancefloor of the underground. Upon meeting in NYC they united sharing sounds and ideas that evolved into conceiving their first mix, Deviant Behavior. Continuing with the momentum, they began playing parties such as Ladyfag and Michael Magnan’s 11:11 & the Spectrum’s Nights of the Templar. Desiring space to explore their taste in banged-out techno and bass-heavy house the duo hosted a party, Bromo, which now holds a monthly residency at Bossa Nova Civic Club.
