Peel back the leaves and discover András, a Melbourne producer making tactile and imperfect electronic music. Inspired by primitive percussion, simple melodies and home recording, Andras combines elements of house music and new age ambiance in a distinctly antipodean way.
From the southern fringe of Melbourne, Sleep D are quickly establishing themselves as the axis of the Australian electronic subterranean. The duo send dancers around the bend with their weekly DJ sets and compelling live performances that have transposed riverside amphitheaters, Boiler Room, Inner Varnika and Golden Plains Festival. Founding the coveted Butter Sessions imprint, the best bits of these cerebral showcases have been soldered down into multiple EPs, as well as an ambient album on Analogue Attic.
Shedbug may be 21, but his reputation already precedes him in the Melbourne dance community. His sometimes raw, sometimes dreamy DJ sets have earned him prime gigs around Melbourne. He’s also started touring an all-hardware live set, which showcases his dusty and expansive production chops evident in tracks like ‘Captain’ and his ‘Acceptance’ EP. On top of his own releases, he’s even launched a record label – Salt Mines. Co-founded with fellow Melbourne lo-fi extraordinaire Rudolf C.
Nali hails from Melbourne’s southeast and is one of the scene’s most distinguishable artists. Known for his dreamy and reverb drenched productions, his live sets are immersive experiences that explore textured and expansive soundscapes. A chameleon as a DJ, flexibility defines his approach. From bristling celestial techno to moody grooving house, his sets are constructed to reflect the energy of the environment.
