A Dokkerman ugyanis funk, a funknak még abból a korszakából, amikor a funkys poprock csak valamiféle disztopikus rémálomnak tűnhetett.
A Dokkerman and the Turkeying Fellaz egy deep funk revival zenekar. Számaikban az itthon már csak DJ-k által pörgetett koszos ritmusokat hasznosítják újra, és lehelnek életet a régi funk, afrobeat és trash/garage beat ütemekbe. Recsegős gitár, szakadt orgona, egymondatos szövegek. Táncolni kötelező!

A great 8 piece group strongly rooted in gritty 70s funk – heavy drums and fierce bass grooves, and horns that show some love to JBs style funky soul as well as strains of African styled funk, and that extends to the guitars, too – but they're not all dismissive of their richly diverse European heritage. That all makes it sound like there might be too many ingredients, but that's not the case all – the gritty funk at the core holds it together nicely!
