DESCRIPTION

Post Child releases their second full-length album 'Wax Wings'

Come and join us at Emporium Arcade Bar in Wicker Park on 01/26/17 as Post Child releases their long-awaited second album Wax Wings on In the Lake Records.

Post Child writes perfect pop gems that throb with massive hooks, interesting textures, and superglue-sticky melodies.” -Chicago Reader

“While I love a good lo-fi, jangle-y, ramshackle rocker as much as the next guy, I’m also a sucker for well-produced, structured and melodic pop-rock…Catchy, hi-fi rock that’s definitely reminiscent of Weezer and their 1990s power pop cohorts but with a grungier edge.” -Loud Loop Press

Chicago's Post Child keeps churning out feel good nu-grunge/fuzz pop hits that stick. -GroundFloorGo.com

Chicago’s Post Child will make you take up smoking and steal your sister’s boyfriend. -HHHHappy.com

Opening the night will be Sonny Falls, the new project from Ryan Ensley (ex-Shiloh, Peekaboos). Their new album There's No More Magic Left in this World was released last year by Midwest Action.

Local rockers Closed Mouths are also on the bill. Led by post punk legend Chris Crax, Closed Mouths released 3 Songs late last year and are currently working on some new music for your ears.
