Woodburner's very first party at Hootananny Brixton is set to be a huge one!
Fronted by one of the most charismatic singers you will ever see, Honeyfeet combine deep blues, afro-sax and trombone, wood-flute and harmonica for an impossibly huge sound. Add to that the outrageous vocal talent of the one and only Rioghnach Connolly and you have an irresistible force of musical nature. It's a sassy magnetism that leaves you in a simple quandry - watch and listen, or dance your feet bare to the gritty sounds.
AFRO WORLD GROOVE
This phenomenally tight 6-piece from Equatorial Guinea suberbly highlight the vocal talents of Yolanda Eyama, a voice reminiscent of Miriam Makeba, with joyous melody and lush harmonies. All this backed up by some of the finest World musicians playing in London today, who combine to create scintillating, almost psychedelic soundscapes.
THE GATOR DOG SNAPPERS
The Gator Dog Snappers met in The Spotted Cat, Frenchmen Street, New Orleans, while on US tour with various bands. Since then they have made it their mission to bring their huge brass sound to the good people of London, be that at the shows they organise or connecting directly with the folk spirits on the streets everywhere.
GENTLE MYSTICS SOUNDSYSTEM
What do epic Gyp-Hop monsters the Gentle Mystics do when they aren't playing in the band? They drop beats on the decks of course! Composer/producer Harky and drummer Al Falfa have been teaming up to smash parties across the UK for many years and their headline show at Wilderness last Summer will live long as a joyous memory. Linking eclectic vibes together effortlessly for a seamless party experience.
