Let’s learn how to marry tapestry weaving with jewelry making. In this three hour workshop, textile artist and jewelry maker Melissa Jenkins Designs will teach us basic weaving and jewelry techniques from concepting a design and incorporating beads and stones to beginner wiring and finishing techniques.
You’ll walk away with your own custom designed necklace (or possibly two depending on your pace) and the skills to continue making on your own. If you fall in love with making woven jewelry, we’ll have tiny looms and tools available for purchase. If you don't finish your second necklace in class, you can take your findings and a bit of yarn to finish at home.
